World War Three?? Are We there yet?

Can I believe What I’m Seeing?

It appears to me

What I’m seeing

Is world war three.

 

It’s not the nuclear holocaust I was taught to believe

Nor the conflict between superpowers it was meant to be

I was never taught how many nations must be fighting,

If This is to be World War three

But I think if I count the mere conflicts between sects, religions, politics,

The sanctioned, the regime changes, the no fly zones,

plus the rock throwers vs the police onslaughts

The ancient run-down armies of dictators vs the stealth technologies,

The economic principals of the greedy vs the middle class,

Fought on the streets,

The nations that step aside, the defined dictators who are foes,

The undefined dictators who don’t need to go,

According to the principals of choosing sides.

 

 

All this I can finally see

Must be World War three. Not up there somewhere in the future,

But finally, here.

Not the holocaust so not a new day of resurrection,

When we emerge from our bomb shelters

Fresh and neatly dressed for a new dawn.

No, not that World War three.

 Just a forever, endless war

That spreads like thick blood from the self-inflicted wristcuts of humanity.

The war of fears lasted forever, Under different names, different decades, Different generations, different enemies, different presidents, Different strategies, different technology. How about more boring and a lot less war, genocide, and economic insecurity? I have to admit, the constant adventurism model of daily living has grown so old, and I've found that I look more forward to boring than I look toward advancing some politicians dream they are representing me. They are not. The world has been taken over by speed freaks. Why does anyone think being constantly bombarded by a million choices, moral decisions, rationalizations that for the most part don't even affect most of us in the nation that produces conflict at every turn and is merely a smokescreen for keeping and sustaining the fires burning in the rest of the world. The Wrong Paths We Take

 written 2003 I was in the bathroom and I started Fred Setterberg’s The Road Taken and I felt the twinge of nostalgic time traveling he was rendering on the page and for a moment I wished I could jump in the conversation with my similarly rustic road reminisces.  all for one, one for all. justice for all freedom and happiness for all all lives matter today, april 19, is another protest, just after a week or two protesting around the country. is it good to keep on reminding each other that we can stop this sinking political juggernaut with vibes? it makes me drowsy just thinking about it. since, i who is in command of what language i can speak, or am I, can i really differentiate between ALL the subtle different renditions of ALL this or ALL that. One of mankind’s biggest problems is that there is a tendency, whether natural or not I don’t know, to lay a legal, simulated socially acceptable architectural framework around every important philosophical and religious belief.
