Donald trumps revolution is the perfect ending counterpoint to the weakness of the first American revolution. Making America great again, a notion of contra indication to reality, if I ever saw one. We can call it the Trump revolution since he's the one putting his brand on it, and obviously wants credit for it, though what's happening now in America has more to do with the failure of just about every president before Trump, and if I could put my historical finger on a starting point, it would be Ronald Reagan.
It'll be quite a while before the world settles back down into a more old style Cold War, although the Cold War is more about who's going to control the world's resources rather than ideological religious conflict. It's obvious that old communism and old capitalism aren't the decisive factors in this struggle.
The ideas of communism being about the heroic working class and capitalism being about free enterprise are no longer relevant, and never were, just thought to be. Communism turned into vulture capitalism and, guess what, capitalism did too.
Marx got one thing right though, religion is the opiate of the people. Jefferson got one thing right too, all men(sic) are created equal. That's irony, man.b
And it's also obvious that it's not going to make a dimes worth of difference what cultures, religions, or political institutions any nation is utilizing for its survival. The only thing will be what militarily equipped nation is running the economies. A form of parasitism has been part of all these changes. Sanctions, confiscation, and piracy have all contributed to this and from what I can see of the future, it will continue. It all comes under imperialism, which seems to be the prerogative of every nation state powerful enough ( meaning militarily capable) to force compliance wherever it wants.
Since we now are in the fog of war, a deep and dense fog, at that, we're running blind. The entire system of American governance has been demolished, not just damaged, but like the east wing demolished, with no real democratic, representative response worthy of resolving anything. The fact that these weak and corrupted politicians are going through the pretense that American hubris will be restored through the same old channels and institutions, that have been in failure mode for decades, maybe centuries, is tantamount to a form of treason.
Let me just say that the EPSTEIN files are not the iceberg for this ongoing disaster, but just another indication of how much the American public with all its moralistic, political, cultural confusion about what freedom is not, what equality is not, and, most importantly, justice is not, has failed itself.
Here's the list of what the future looks like.
I guess the good news is that here in America the fight for justice through weakened institutions will go on while on the outside, the world will be under attack from dawn to dusk. With the demise of any ability to reverse continuing waves of oppression, Americans will essentially be examples of a society unable to move forward.
