Change
The democrats nor the left has anything to offer in the way of change.
I probably shouldn’t compare the democrats to the left but when you realize that, like in other one party states, both major parties in America merely reflect the right, center, and left of one party, call it the American Big Party. Or the Profit party. Or the Greed Party.
In America the One Big Party represents only the freedom to make a profit. Economists will tell you that that is the “natural” way. And there are natural market forces that protect working people and individuals from predatory profit taking but, in reality, everyone believes in profit, what the common man/woman calls Savings for a Rainy Day but what economists don’t tell you is that America is a no nonsense gambling addicted society so people have the freedom to spend their savings (money earned above their necessities) on anything they want because that’s what freedom is about. Right?
Nowadays one can gamble on just about everything. In addition, one can be addicted to just about everything so guess where “savings (to you) and “profit” (to them) goes, to either satisfy some addiction (to you) or create more money (for them).
This is where freedom is like a snake eating its own tail. Although we have the freedom to choose what isn’t free as our only real choice but aren’t able or free to choose removing ourselves from the treadmill of our earthly obsessions, which voyeurism plays a big part, and poor judgement.
The trump revolution, which is what it is, has turned the tables on what we Americans have been brought up to believe. We’ve all been trained (socialized) to accept the variations of the ill named “two party system” and haven’t ever really been able to look at the world in a different way.
If we either laugh at or cringe at trumps TACO moments and obvious mental deficiencies, his inability to hold to one idea for any length of time so how can he be trusted, etc imagine what it’s been like for the long line of slavery descendants, indigenous survivors, and millions of international victims of Americas violent hegemony, that over the decades and centuries, it’s no wonder we’ve become immune to real empathy or even the slightest understanding of human behavior without guns, greed, or subjugation.
All of that is included in the one big package of one big party.
Trumps revolution, like all revolutions, will eventually disintegrate, and like all revolutions, whether it be Cuba, Russia, French, Chinese, or American, it will always be thereafter at the mercy of subsequent emergent ideological battering until it becomes “normal”., the essence of human addiction and greed.
All revolutions end up the same, obsolete because they never fully address true social, economic freedom which ideally includes, no borders, no supremacy, no subjugation, no ownership
The democrats are objecting to trumps Iran war style but believe me they (the democrats) are on the same page as trump. There is no call to return to Obama’s Iran nuclear deal. Make no mistake about it, Iran, according to most of the political establishment as well as the American public is “Iran must go”.
This is true with the Epstein files and any other Trump political staging. No president or prime minister will ever be indicted by the ICC for an international sex trafficking cult or rape ring except maybe the faux “mass rape” on Oct 23, concocted by Israel to cover themselves from pulling their idf forces out of southern Israel prior to the hamas breakthrough.
I can’t even imagine that unless there is a true anti-Trump revolution. That would be a little too bloody for most American stomachs. But that’s where we are now, the failure to bring justice to those who deserve it, has created a vacuum that is too far from gone to be suddenly revived, if it really was ever alive.
One important aspect of profit and greed, as in the economic capitalist philosophy is that it sponsors, not freedom, but dependency. The current Iran crisis demonstrates how it all works. Corporate hegemony on world food and energy products creates a dependency on many nations who because of global control by dominant states, can’t try and become independent by changing their own economies by using their resources. Instead, these dependent countries are forced to take on debt from international banks in order to even maintain some semblance of “nation statehood”
We are already betting on a less moral and, certainly, empathetic world. There’s money in gambling and prediction on the economy, wars, commercial investment, assassination, and sports.
Living has become a roulette wheel and cheap thrills. Be simple.
