Let me say this. If Zionism is a religion then it shouldn't have any more right to exist than any other religion but if Zionism is a political, social, earth based movement, like ISIS or Al Qaida, or Scientology, or the Knights Templar of medieval times, or Proud Boys, or Crips, or any other organization that utilizes force, coercion, corruption, and violence along with the belief that god, nation or insanity justifies their existence, then they should be treated as extreme thinking, unnecessary for human consumption.

This was the first time I ever heard an American of any sort proclaim anyone else other than themselves had the right to self determination because I'm sure in my lifetime I've seen nations and groups within nations claim they had a right to self determination yet America denied and continues to deny those nations as well as groups within America that right. Cuba comes to mind, the Black Panthers come to mind, as well as Nicaragua, Chile, South Africa, Haiti, going backward in time, I suppose I could say indigenous peoples everywhere, African Americans, as well as Africans period, women universally, and the entire repertoire of people everywhere who were and are castigated, killed, incarcerated, exiled because, simply put, the general society surrounding them didn't think they had any rights at all.

So, with that in mind these idiots such as Greenblatt who are so bound up in their own version of hate that they don't see the Palestinians who have been in the so called Holy Land by Christians and Gods Promise by Zionists as long as any Jewish or Christian culture, and they (Palestinians) have the same right to self- determination as anyone. In fact, everyone got along pretty much until religious zealots and later, nationalist zealots brought their thoughts and weapons to back themselves up, there. The Palestinians get moved, annihilated, cleansed, defamed but there will always be from here on in, the same memory, the same remembering that Jews revere about the holocaust, Palestinians will remember Nakba, this one and the 1948 one.

I hear people who criticize America say, “ but I love America and…

I hear people who criticize America say, " America isn't perfect, but I love America and with America I will stay." I'm like that. But when I say it, I'm talking about two different Americas, the one that Trump wants to make great again and the one I was born in, travel in, live in, and that I will die in. That America and the one Trump wants to make again are not the same. Quite different, actually.

Yes, I went to public school and got fed the world through the eyes of a certain kind of blindness, learned all about the English colonies, the American revolution, the civil war, the Industrial Revolution, all that that made it seem America was special in such a way that the rest of the world has been just sitting around forever, throughout time, just sitting around waiting for whatever America was going to do about it or anything at all. America was the center of the world and the world was center of the universe and the only thing bigger than that was God with a capital G.

Meanwhile, back in my america, my nose ran clear and itchy from the cottonwood trees that blew white strands of seeds along the river banks, smothering the ground with snow like layers of sheet cloth. I ran full blast on the beach and dove head first into the icy Pacific waves, emerging later, burying myself in the warm sand, shivering and at night, I sat wherever I found myself, staring up into the shiny sea of stars, so thick with light, the manufactured light here on earth felt restrained and timid next to the Milky Way.

This was my America, though I called it the same thing every child calls it, this is mine, my place, it could be anywhere on earth, but it's here, right here, wherever I happened to be, the place my feet were standing on, invisible gravity holding me firmly to the earth. This is freedom, call it freedom. Every child in the world sees it, feels it all until the bombs from the other America, all the other America want to be's begin to fall. There are so many of those Americas, all with pseudonyms, they come and they go, leave their bloody fingerprints, hands on all those souls who will still look at the night, see the diminished starlight, but still dream, still say, 'this is my dream, my freedom,' and whether it's America, or Russia, or Israel or any other name that comes to take my freedom, they're always bound to lose because freedom always triumphs over those who come to take freedom away. It just goes to show that the destruction of any semblance to order has begun and will continue. If there is one thing that America was built on from the very beginning is the principle that political power in America is divided into three branches in order to keep any one branch from becoming dictatorial. It's fundamental to Americas form of representative democracy. Whether elected as in representation in Congress or elected as enforcer/ administration in the Executive branch or appointed by those representatives as in the judicial branch, it all comes down to no one person or branch can be dictator without breaking the system. The system is now broken. Trump has already made America in the image of 1775, king George in the driver's seat. Trump has engineered the Second American Revolution.

It has to be acknowledged. It's all about taxes, wealth, who's going to control what. The Bill of Rights, which was added to the original constitution only as ballast for stabilizing the many age of reason detractors, who were concerned about early versions of what equality, justice, and self- determination meant.

The Constitution is all about that process of equalizing decisions, laws, trade, and all that stuff. Most of the additions after the original ten bill of rights (commandments) were about chiseling away at the informal misapplications of the so-called freedoms of the original ten.

But no one in the past would understand the implications of laws like Citizen United or even the Right to Privacy behind Roe vs Wade or the invasion of Homeland Security into our lives.

We've reached critical mass in this country now. As of this date, we still have more than three years of this revolution, no matter what public opinion amounts to. At this stage, this revolution will continue to disobey, thwart the weak standard of laws most politicians of the past consistently whittled away at, thinking, I suppose, they'd see how far they could go, or maybe, the more twisted ones believing democracy itself would save them from the suicide mission they've been on for decades.

Obama's own statement to the effect, "Make me" (affect change). No one took up the challenge. In a way he was right because it's always been the mantra of America that The People are the ultimate change maker but nowadays no one considers themselves The People, they consider themselves this or that, gay or Christian, black or white, worker or homeless, no one believes in change, just status quo, especially if you feel secure, and if you don't, then you want, not change, but the problem to disappear along with the people you think are causing the problem, and believe me, we do not live in a perfect world but for some reason people now believe we could make it perfect. Donald Trump says that.

But Obama was wrong too. He had the power, he was elected, it was wrong to allow his opposition to thwart any change without a fight. The People shouldn't have to go to the streets for everything. There should be mutual understandings, even the most brutal sports have rules, the right to dissent includes the right to not participate, so you know when there is a dictator amongst you when you are told you have to participate/ approve and don't have the right to remove yourself from the process or dissent with art and other creative methods. Everyone should be an artist or a saboteur, better yet, both.

Boycott and strikes are the essence of rebellion and guess what, folks, we're on that precipice right now. Not paying your taxes might get you in jail but not buying what supports their agenda is your own secret underground.

Make them work. Make them sweat. Protect your children, somebody else's children, the elderly, yourself, not with guns but with recognition that what they take from you, they take from everyone. Lastly, don't be afraid.

At first, mention of dropping an atom bomb on Iran scared me but then I was relieved to hear there would have to be a "voice from heaven" too, realizing, laughing at myself, that'll never happen, the President of the United States won't ever get that phone call or text message because He doesn't listen to anybody except Stephen Miller and some other people higher up.

Then I was scared again because I understood "listening to heaven" would play into his hands like clay into bowls, cups, and saucers. He's dishonest enough to say He actually got the message.

Yes, I worry a lot these days. For the world, for the victims, and yes, for myself, too. This is the biggest "change" in my lifetime, and I'm a 1960's survivor, surviving meaning I got out of that era with my ideals intact, and like residents in America, Russia, Israel, I wonder how we all got to where we are now. Here in America, we have lots of gods to bow, bend, and listen to, from Profit to War to Democracy to Survival to Self-Interest.

For some reason I'm not concerned about Creeping Socialism to Creepy Forms of Communism. I can remember the days when communism with a little "c" could still, along with Scientology, almost convince you that communal or collaboration was the best way to see the future. The problem with that is/was the little fucking dictators that seem to be in every group, class, or cohort. And, just like the one we have as our president, they always want the gold, need to be worshipped, are completely unnoteworthy except for the power they can wield over the heads of the rest of us.

We, so much want the world to have a moral order, when it is actually composed of integrating, not opposing social disintegration, an anti-morality order imposed on everyone. Humans have perceived, attempted to perceive, a sort of mechanized version of living, with the centuries old development of presuming we, humans, are the ultimate culmination of change (evolution), if not the apple of god's eye, or at least, Israel is.
All of this has been set up to thwart the complex fears and mysteries of life, as we see it in religion and politics as resolutions, merely theory rather than surety. We all try so hard to make sense of the nonsensical.
Why does a right to lifer, so profoundly passionate about the fetus and the unborn of their neighbor, so quick to be immune to the suffering of those that their nation (not God) believes is an enemy? Why do feminists or women in general remain so passive when girls (and boys) are used as sexual ploys, yet the more ambitious ones only complain about the dollars they are worth in the job market?

Too Big to Fail

I don't believe in religion, faith, hope, charity, or generic progressive politics as a recipe to prevent mob fascism. Fascism relies on a form of populism, much like passive progressivism, to gain power but also utilizes political, and/or military power, distains legal and institutional/constitutional establishment, an attribute that feeds into the natural authoritarian element in the human brain. We humans, unfortunately, have over the years become immune to accepting our freedom and independence as worth fighting for, both individually and socially, as authoritarians (the medias euphemism for fascism) but also charismatic personalities, have sometimes quietly and not so quietly, come to the forefront of politics to usurp our rights. If there's one thing clear, fighting for freedom is not only a right but a necessity in the human created political jungle we have surrounded ourselves with.
A series of politicians, religious leaders, and more recently, wealthy, very wealthy, profit gurus continue to manipulate the legal, justice, and social equity standards of the last hundred years. Liberals have now lost the world to neo-fascist principles due to their passivity, I guess, because they've accepted the thoughts of Jesus, and the afterlife, as being the just rewards for saying but not believing the right things.
So, as I said, I don't believe that the things liberals have fostered over the last century have the power to change the immediate future, which will be dominated by the trump revolution, for the next 3 1/2 years. But to call this the Trump Revolution is somewhat of a misnomer because as we've seen, the focus of the Democratic Party has consistently diminished future prospects for real change and made what is happening now possible, when we acknowledge that over the last five decades or so, the two party system hasn't worked nor has the legal system.
America has become too big to fail so in the saving of the republic, it must be destroyed by those who think it was better once upon a time. We know it wasn't and it certainly won't be in the future.
One of the most debilitating principles used by Democrats and misused by Republicans is Compromise, which isn't really compromise but has become a negotiation of lies and untruths. It's been a long time since anyone in politics has actually compromised in legislation. A system of total lie or absolutism, either this and not that which is so contrary to social change.
Certain legislation now is passed as if it is mere tradition rather than something to be discussed. The fact of the matter is making war is a certainty, creating wealth for the already wealthy is guaranteed, and currently, I can say that the re-interpretation of anti-semitism by the very heads that are the racist populists of the future is one of the true ironies of this fascist movement we are being victimized by.
In the animal world, a pack of hyenas can bring down just about anything, but especially Donkeys and even Elephants, under the right circumstances. It's ugly to watch this natural process at work on the Discovery Channel, but here's the thing, Man(sic) is both the hyena and the Donkey by choice. Whoever chooses to be a Donkey in a hyena world, then guess what, you're going to get eaten. The same goes for Elephants. We are living amongst hyenas (and they aren't all in the White House or Congress, or the churches, temples, and mosques, though many might be hiding there), ready to ambush anyone stupid enough to think their life is free.
Since the world is composed of many varieties of beings and not everyone can eat red meat every day, and Donkeys, Elephants, and others who aren't predators, might be surrounded one day, my advice to them and me is to sharpen our teeth, sharpen our claws, strengthen our mind, be wary of their kind, stand together, surround our young, and, yes, fight like hell.

The fact that the trump revolution or if you're one..

The fact that the trump revolution, or if you're one of those who reserves the word " revolution" for some legitimate, progressive misnomer, I can call it trump's political coup de tat, whereby the population is so inured to denial of any reality and a military intervention is unnecessary. Trump and his protégés fired or removed a few potential military dissidents, fired or removed most heads of departments he no longer has any use for, set up the change of the Washington Commanders back to the Redskins, (outlawing any use of DEI designations) whatsoever. From genocidal to infantile this revolution daily demonstrates to us our need to fight back.
A King with whims, he is. I'm continually fascinated by his inability to feel a smidgen of guilt over anything he ever did, is doing, and I imagine, what he plans for the future. He doesn't lie because lying seems to exist with a smidgen ( there's that word again) of consciousness or prescience. Trump is a true sociopath who is surrounded by sociopaths. The definition of a sociopath is someone who believes it's okay to operate out of the boundaries of law, and who believes they are the law. He consistently shows us with his childlike sense of purpose his willingness to declare his simplest whim an executive order. When I was young I read about the many Roman Emperors who were always trying to best each other's outrageous gladiatorial extravaganzas with more and more ways to kill people in the arenas. Trump is like that, it irks him to think any other personage, politician, or president came before him. Sometimes I pretend I'm watching a theater production, maybe the umpteenth version of Richard the Third, gleaning some entertainment value from the horror of knowing I am powerless and impotent. Please don't tell me to vote or rely on hope, two of the most innane solutions liberals, not real progressives, depend on in order to live without guilt. No one should live without guilt or consciousness, it's what makes you human. Look at him.
He has the emotional range and understanding of a ten year old and he probably believes he could have run the country when he was ten. His one great gift, which isn't mentioned (yet) in the constitution, is an ability to possess a whole series of inabilities to express himself or having to understand only one thing about people, people are afraid of him, like water off a ducks back, they will obey or shut up. He's a walking Tower of Babel. Whatever happened to having a good duel on the Washington Mall?

If anyone believes that a democratically controlled congress or Democratic president for that matter, will change anything, then I wonder where you've been for the last fifty years.

The redefining of anti-Semitic( meaning anti-Zionist/Israel policies) is being institutionalized within schools, universities, social media platforms ( see IDF censor taking over TikTok). White people and Jews finally feel they can have their "race card" to fall back on. I'm kind of tired hearing progressives add " there are plenty of good people in Israel and around the world" but I'm wondering if that's true or not. I can say that these are "elected" tyrants and maintained by somebody, and usually the so called "silent majority" isn't a group anyone wants to cater too, even in Israel. The problem with all that is progressives still ID Jews who are progressive as progressive Jews or the same with Americans, progressive Americans, etc etc, when actually anyone who believes that Gaza is immoral and who does not want to participate in it by proxy ( as in America) or reality (as in Israel) is simply being human. If you're in Israel swallowing Zionism either by ignoring what's happening or believing the Zionism mythology, then you are a Jew and the same goes for Americans, but if you're resisting you're a fucking Human Being.
If you're White, Black, Jew, or Gentile you're on the wrong path, if you're a Human Being, then wear your Being with pride and accept no substitutions. There is no elevation of any of our IDs to special status, especially within the world of lunacy. If the fact that being white or anything has anything to do with anything, how can we expect equality or Justice, is a mystery to me.
Look at what happened in the 2020 campaign, black people got suckered into taking away the actual democratic process by being cajoled by black and liberal politicians putting Joe Biden in the drivers seat as the Democratic candidate despite Bernie Sanders success in the primaries. Both parties, desperate for a win, will change the rules overnight if need be. It's apparent that the smokescreen of Gaza, immigration, Tariffs, all this is to cover up the destruction of them forcing no actual differences of opinion.
Everything is not relative. Morality shouldn't be up for debate. Morality is the basis for our laws and regulating human behavior. A moral code is a traditional value that everyone can or should adhere to. Nancy Pelosi will tell you that we live in a "free enterprise economy" ( as if it was born that way) so insider trading among politicians is ok because they( politicians) want to participate in it too. Is insider trading moral? Once you get these morons (devoid of morality) out in the open amongst the questions of independent and progressive, you can see that they are as stupid (ignorant) as Trump or any of the others.
The Young Turks constantly hold Ro Khanna up as a progressive but when Oct 7th and its Israeli aftermath came about, he was parroting the chant, "Israel has the right to defend itself."
I want to get one thing straight about October Seventh. And this is what bothers me about everything that's going on now.
October the Seventh happened because the armed Palestinian movement, which Netanyahu helped set up to counter the then most powerful Palestinian movement, the PLO ( Palestinian Liberation Organization) but that backfired because when elections came to the Pals, Hamas was the winner. And since Netanyahu and his fascist idealists have never said they want a two state solution but merely used and continued to use peace negotiations as another smokescreen for the illegal seizure of Palestinian land as well as wars with Lebanon, Syria, possibly Iraq and even Afghanistan. Israels sole intention, based on Zionist and Old Testament prophecies, is to take control of what they believe is gods promise to them. They do not believe in the Apocalypse, nor the son of God, nor even equality among all the human tribes, religions, or nations.
It's already been forgotten, if it was ever remembered, that for seven decades, Israel used this Zionist ideal to oppress, abuse, and has always made an attempt to thwart the freedom of the Palestinian people, even though the accords that made Israel in 1948 implied that the Palestinians weren't to be ethnically cleansed nor annihilated.
That's where the western powers are guilty as sin in this morally corrupt, long lasting desecration of
America, ever since 1776, has been hell bent in preventing anyone from truelly dissenting about its policies, mainly because it (America ) believes in its system as perfect and over the centuries, decades, has not allowed actual change to take place through its institutional mechanism for change. Slavery and Native genocide was fully acceptable despite many attempts in congress or courts to override it. In the sixties, the changes that came about within the civil rights movement and anti war movement by the people actually rebelling were thwarted by weak laws, and catered to the worst element of American society, much like it is today. The separation of the equal justice ideal has been nearly completed, while we slept on dreams of manufactured lies. The law is done as an institution that will regulate and protect the right of the individual over the state.
When the Black Panthers walked on the California capital grounds armed to the teeth as a demonstration of strength, the IRA made sure that the second amendment didn't mean "uppity Negroes". We, as progressives, are at war.
The left in America relies on the law, the sacred law to protect themselves from the armed might of the state. Revolutionary movements of the past did arm themselves and could expect the full,weight of the state to bring violence and oppression down upon them.
Nowadays there are few progressive revolutions and most are immediately "overthrown" by being subverted economically because the world wide banking system controlled by powerful corporate and national interests don't want any progress anywhere, anytime. Most countries are so much in debt, to themselves and to other nations, that as soon as any country shows signs of renewing itself to an ideal of moral, just, and equal, the powerful nations put their  economic pressure on and if that doesn't work, there's always war.
After 9/11 all movements, armed or otherwise, were countermanded by the all encompassing term "terrorist" even if they were attempting to get out from underneath the new world order. The only groups allowed to arm themselves are the militias in every country that are generated by fascistic principles
By the way, the list of potential killers of JFK, has grown by one. Israel can be added to the list of Lee Harvey Oswald by his lonesome, Lee Harvey Oswald with a Russian connection, Cuba in retaliation for the numerous assassination attempts against Fidel by the CIA, the CIA because of the failed Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba, the FBI because J. Edgar hated Kennedy, and now Israel because Kennedy did not think the newish Zionist state was copacetic and he was reluctant to keep giving them money, which we now know sixty something years later is a no-no.
I watch democracy now, the young Turks and read articles from various journalists and after a while I get tired of hearing pretty much the same somnambulist ID responses, especially the daily dead and dying in Gaza, the false flags of republicans, and like many other things, I am amazed that no one calls for a counter- revolution.
In the sixties, everyone was calling for a revolution. And at that time we didn't know we needed a counter revolution because things then we're actually worse than they are now. Sure, progressives got a few good calls in the courts because the courts then we're relatively free of one sidedness, so row vs wade, civil rights legislation, equal rights amendment almost getting what would be impossible now. But to balance that out we had J Edgar, Nixon, Watergate, Pentagon Papers, war and assassinations, atrocities by us military, Vietnamese, Cambodians, Laotians dying by the hundreds of thousands, and American soldiers dying in a foreign land nobody even knew where it was. Kind of like Afghanistan.
No, things were not good and I admit that if we get three and a half more years of Trump revolution, I'll admit it, probably from my grave, we will never be able to say, Never Again! Because Never is already here.
It's true there are plenty of places to hide in a world like this. One place could be an over populated, impoverished nation that prides itself on beggars and homeless being the tethered scapegoats for everyone else who bitches and moans about the condition of the world they live in.
