Allred's News Report No News Today Introduction Yesterday was the same as the day before and tomorrow is the same as yesterday. Today is different. And only until tomorrow. Which is the same as today. Caveat emptor
All history is indeed the experimental refutation of the theory of the so-called moral order of things,—Nietzsche We, so much want the world to have a moral order, when it is actually composed of integrating, not opposing social disintegration, an anti-morality order imposed on everyone. Humans have perceived, attempted to perceive, a sort of mechanized version of living, with the centuries old development of presuming we, humans, are the ultimate culmination of change (evolution), if not the apple of god's eye, or at least, Israel is. All of this has been set up to thwart the complex fears and mysteries of life, as we see it in religion and politics as resolutions, merely theory rather than surety. We all try so hard to make sense of the nonsensical. Why does a right to lifer, so profoundly passionate about the fetus and the unborn of their neighbor, so quick to be immune to the suffering of those that their nation (not God) believes is an enemy? It's a leftover of extreme p...
I don't believe in religion, faith, hope, charity, or generic progressive politics as a recipe to prevent mob fascism. Fascism relies on a form of populism, much like passive progressivism, to gain power but also utilizes political, and/or military power, distains legal and institutional/constitutional establishment, an attribute that feeds into the natural authoritarian element in the human brain. We humans, unfortunately, have over the years become immune to accepting our freedom and independence as worth fighting for, both individually and socially, as authoritarians (the medias euphemism for fascism) but also charismatic personalities, have sometimes quietly and not so quietly, come to the forefront of politics to usurp our rights. If there's one thing clear, fighting for freedom is not only a right but a necessity in the human created political jungle we have surrounded ourselves with. A series of politicians, religious leaders, and more recently, wealthy, very wealthy, pr...
The fact that the trump revolution, or if you're one of those who reserves the word " revolution" for some legitimate, progressive misnomer, I can call it trump's political coup de tat, whereby the population is so inured to denial of any reality and a military intervention is unnecessary. Trump and his protégés fired or removed a few potential military dissidents, fired or removed most heads of departments he no longer has any use for, set up the change of the Washington Commanders back to the Redskins, (outlawing any use of DEI designations) whatsoever. From genocidal to infantile this revolution daily demonstrates to us our need to fight back. A King with whims, he is. I'm continually fascinated by his inability to feel a smidgen of guilt over anything he ever did, is doing, and I imagine, what he plans for the future. He doesn't lie because lying seems to exist with a smidgen ( there's that word again) of consciousness or prescience. Trump is a true so...
The world is filled with irony. 2025 is a plan to strip federalism down, laying bare the authorities that rely on the power of the same federal gov they claim needs to go. Democrats now attacking elon musks sticking his paws on private information is a little like complaining that elon musk isnt the right fascist to do the fascist job. My god! The wolf is at the door, and to say it's the wrong wolf, is another example of democrat weakness. They worship the process rather than what the process has produced. Peace loving people shouldn't protest the nuclear bomb and then, protect the right to produce one. Sorry Ro Khanna, the wolf was at the door on Oct 8, 2023, when you took up the "israel has the right to defend itself" and the hidden fascist, " and palestinians dont have that right because, after all, they are israeli property. Its all been about money, ownership and the right/wrong of power. The democratic party has to die, preferably at its own hands. Let'...
What is to be done? Evil must run its course because there is no moral imperative or cure. Evil is our problem. It depends on and is composed of all that humans fear and don't understand and of course, leads into all religions, or national ideals (which have taken over the duties of religion in the modern world). Both religion and its progeny, nationalism or dedication to idealistic democratic or political institutional loyalty, which have both demonstrated throughout history they're incapable of moving human imagination beyond the confines of a limited physical and spiritual existence. There is something within us that rebels and also acquiesces to "evils' charms. Every nation and every religion becomes at once a liberator and an oppressor, but neither nation nor religion can act in accordance with their own principles, ideals, or, as in the case of religion, beliefs. Mainly because both religion and nationalism rely on beliefs that are anti-thetical to real univers...
It's apparent that we know just about all we're going to know about the sex trafficking cabal the XStein files are. We already know and have known most of the personages contained in them but that's as far as it goes. The buck stops here where names will not go down in flames, even while more egregious crimes, though of a different sort, are being committed right under our noses. Oh, we all have alot to be guilty of. The age-old question of who is more responsible for any nation's crimes, the actual authorities who command the powers, like necromancers, over the multitude of victims or those who by passivity, fear, or approval do nothing or not enough to stop the genocide, war, atrocity, and cruelty of their leaders. Yes, it's hard because we are all essentially imprisoned in our social upbringing, even the poor, the criminal, and the ones most affected by it all. In the days of Frankenstein's Monster, people gathered up their pitchforks, their torches, ready t...
http://portside.org/2017-02-06/whose-strike THIS IS A GOOD PIECE, A General Strike? 'GET SOBER FOLKS' . I'm interested in movement organizing strategy... lots of people discussing this topic right now. If the 9th Circuit does right, will Trump ignore the decision.....sort of Andy Jackson reborn from the Bank Fight and the Indian cases of the mid 1830s? I watched the NPR show tonight on the Oklahoma bombing of 1995. Amazing how much force the cops used and the resources they had, which turned them all into boneheads on steroids who drove McVeigh nuts. 168 Dead! The way things are going, that Reichstag moment could come sooner than we may have anticipated. Labor is too weak in numbers and political strength to lead the United Front, and the broader post Woman's March movement is too inchoate at this point to fully predict how it will emerge? Yet, I'm optimistic. I have visited or done a little work with a few different ...
Another anti-abortionist on the loose with a gun after shooting his enemies, proving once again that life ends, rather than begins, with conception, at the same time innocence does. The anti-abortionist philosophy breaks down after that into fragments of phony patriot, real racist, fake empathy regarding who outside of themselves is valuable, and which matters more, their belief that they represent their impotent god who, i think, once said, leave the fucking punishments to Me, and His son who said, love is better than anything else, or if not love, then, at least, compassion ( but leave the punishments to My Father). Or, in my words, quit forcing your own beliefs on anyone else. Don't say science proves conscious life begins at conception because the myth that mary conceived God's child. Believe what you want to believe but take your violence somewhere else, preferably home, wherever "heart" is. In an essay before this i said religion is behind what is wrong in the ...
Morality, right and wrong doesn’t have a chance anymore. Sapiens. The advance of sapiens through time has shown we have not only bartered away what we have made, believed, or borrowed from nature but we have frittered away the codes which we lived by. We’ve been boiled down and rendered (in fat) into whatever aggregation of moral codes, traditions, laws, rules, standards of whatever dominant society in which we live, none of which are much more than a generation old and none of which are so viable today that almost any advance of technological, scientific inventions and experiments won’t further degrade them, or at least, if degrade is too harsh a word, won’t further negatively change what has lasted to this point into mostly obsolete. When primitive people with limited technologies walked the earth, stone tools proved durable and worth the tedious but hard work put into creating them. On the other hand, iron and steel become rusty and useless in less than a lifetime. Trump...
