Some scientists are saying they may have finally discovered Noahs Ark on Mt Ararat. They're so excited they think that this discovery may overturn the Darwinian theory of evolution. In other words, these scientists are crazed enough to believe that a theory about another form of creation, accepted by almost universally by other scientists, will be thrown out. Somehow, they're so excited to believe that if it is the ark, Noah will be vindicated as the new Adam.
If you don't know the story, Noah was commanded by god to build his ark, save the animals and with his sons and son's wives and his wives would be saved from the worldwide flood waters. After the flood, Noah and his kin emerged just like suburban america would have emerged if the cold war back in the shelter digging days of the fifties. Ready to take on a new world. After all, all of adams progeny were now dead, drowned so Noah being the new adam took on his son's wives in an adventure of baby making until we got what we have today. I guess that's better than being descendants of Cain and Eve being the vestibule of the human race's future.
To think the Ark is real is just another mischievous story, though that's what we humans are all about, storytelling. It's in storytelling when monsters arise and the mischief of love and war are intertwined, fear of the dark and what lies beyond the sparks of the fire. How we got from there to here. Theres nothing wrong with that until developed societies began making it mandatory to believe in their stories as a criteria to live or survive. Worship. Prayer. And so there we be, looking for signs of one thing or another. It no longer is about the natural world we live in but becomes all about obeying arbitrary laws, standards, and traditions of those who tell us what is right and wrong while they do whatever they want.
