It all started in 2001 when the Saudi's attacked the us. Howard Lutnick didn't go to work that day in tower numero uno because he had to take his kid to preschool. From there the script turned to the patriot act, where anyone who complained about the mystery of Saudi's attacking us and going to war against Iraq and Afghanistan while shaking hands with the saudis for providing oil to America's new cause.
Despite the close 2000 election that went to the Supreme Court to stop the count in Florida, the patriotic republicans would begin their decades long strangulation on the democrats, who definitely cowed by Americas patriotic fervor, would cower in Congress and the presidencies for the next two and one half decades and still counting.
If anyone thinks it started with Trump should be spanked old school. The promise of America definitely died on that infamous day, and to this day, the reasons for that attack are as mythical as the Kennedy assassination.
But maybe it all began on October 17, 1917 when the Russian czar fell and Russia came into prominence as the bearer of bad news for the capitalists that ran the western world at that time. The Industrial Age set workers against industry owners.
Workers of the world unite! was the rallying cry and communism, socialism, naziism and fascism ruled the day. Any noteworthy democracy had to choose between a cafeteria style of political menu.
Germany chose naziism whereby the entire political apparatus went after Jews because they seemed to control the economy. Germanys nine eleven. Naziism merely a tool or excuse for anti semitism rather than anti corporate class. Western European nations subscribing to some sort of socialism mixed with oligarchical, monarchical systems. Finally, the US taking the low road to full-fledged corporate, anti-worker formulas based on their luck to having been distanced from the first five years of warfare in Europe and given the opportunity to begin manufacturing weapons and materials to get out of the worldwide depression unscathed, or nearly unscathed.
Yes, America borrowed its century old slave market philosophy and brought it forward to the twentieth century. Work, if it can't be free, at least, it should be cheap. Cheap labor equals not cheap goods but more profit. More profit equals more greed and the final equation, more greed equals fascism. America chooses fascism. Greed cannot produce anything except control, control over the supposed institutions of control established by those founding fathers and others who thought if people could decide their own fate, forgot people are human and not always inspired by truth or common sense. America has nickel and dimed itself into a hole. Save a penny, save a dime has made it almost impossible for ordinary people to keep up with the prolific growth between what costs have risen, without wages, over a lifetime.
It's all about their resources. It's all about getting them, protecting them, without any thoughts about whether or not the people need whatever they think the people need.
The people have made it easy on them, letting them decide everything.
What has happened the last few decades is the slow erosion of that isolation and independence so important to keeping independence. Now, every indecency, on every front, is nurtured, promulgated as truth and necessity, thus anything goes.
It's nearly impossible to retreat from such a headstrong and arrogant stance. The world has become crisscrossed with red lines, warning shots, threats, and confrontations.
Why does America coverup everything? There is only one reason for both political parties to protect and or deny anything that might reflect poorly on the American system. The answer is historical.
Any civilization or culture that begins on the premise of isolation and independence from the status quo and grows into a defensive posture based on continuing its isolation and independence will begin to go outside its boundaries to secure further isolation, will begin offensive in its determination to survive on its own terms rather than what might be considered socialistic, cooperative humanistic institutions developed over centuries and millenniums.
Once any nation leaves the inherent safety of the cooperative principles, it becomes more isolated and dependent on military and aggressive methods of "protecting itself."
