I don't believe in religion, faith, hope, charity, or generic progressive politics as a recipe to prevent mob fascism. Fascism relies on a form of populism, much like passive progressivism, to gain power but also utilizes political, and/or military power, distains legal and institutional/constitutional establishment, an attribute that feeds into the natural authoritarian element in the human brain. Morality, right and wrong doesn’t have a chance anymore. Sapiens. The advance of sapiens through time has shown we have not only bartered away what we have made, believed, or borrowed from nature but we have frittered away the codes which we lived by.
