The individual, the society, and violence   Individuals have opinions. Society, which is composed of many individuals with many different opinions, has responsibilities to itself to maintain a certain level of safety, well being, organization, consistency (stability). In a free society, individuals should and should be able to express their opinions without punishment, isolation, or retribution. When society is threatened, either from within or without, to such an extent that the institutions established to maintain order, to maintain that certain level of safety, security, themselves turn to violence, then both revolutionary violence and fascistic violence occurs. Revolutionary violence is that violence which becomes necessary to defend the general idealistic principles by the people who are resisting the fascistic violence,  which is destabilizing the society.
